Nina is a dance artist based in Lisbon.
She began her professional career at the age of 16 with DeAnima Ballet Contemporâneo in Rio de Janeiro under the direction of Richar Cragun and Roberto Oliveira. She was a member of Nederlands Dans Theater I and II between 2004 and 2010.
Since 2010, she has worked as a choreographic assistant, performer, teacher and staged pieces of Marina Mascarell, Alexander Ekman, Medhi Walerski, Lukas Timulak and Luiz Bongiovani. She has collaborated with artists such as Marina Mascarell, Tânia Carvalho, Ivan Perez, Renan Martins, Alexander Ekman, Sara Anjo, Michelle Moura, Mateo López, Hugo Vieira da Silva, Marina Dalgalarrondo, Acauã el Bandido Sereia, Janiv Oron, David Marques, Vânia Doutel Vaz, Julian Pacomio, Raquel Klein, Vitor and Sofia Roriz and Josefa Pereira.
Nina studied fashion design at the Lisbon School of Design and completed training in natural dyeing at The Dyer’s House.
She created costumes for Orthopedica Corporatio, Second Landscape (Skanes Dans Theater), How to Cope with a sunset when the Horizon has been dismantled (Nederlands Dans Theater) by Marina Mascarell, La Burla by Bibi Dória and Bruno Brandolino, Hélio e Viaduct (in partnership with Maria Silva) by Renan Martins and The Elephant in the Middle of the Room by Vânia Doutel Vaz.
