Jelena Popović was born in Belgrade, Serbia.
She obtained her bachelor’s degrees in Piano from the Belgrade Faculty of Music and from the Amsterdam Conservatory. She also holds the Masters’ degree in chamber music and accompaniment from the Conservatory of Utrecht.
She works as a piano teacher at the Aslan Muziekcentrum in Amsterdam and as a pianist at the education and participation department of the Dutch National Opera and Ballet.
In addition, she works as a regular pianist accompanying several choirs in the Netherlands.
Jelena is an enthusiastic promoter of contemporary music, researching various innovations in sound. She gives a unique interpretation of contemporary and classical music.
She works with young composers, singers, instrumentalists and artists of her generation on various creative projects in Europe.
Jelena Popovic joined European School of Ballet in 2020.
