Anne-Laure Arnoux was born in France where she was taught by great ballet masters Raymond Franchetti, Gilbert Mayer and Christiane Vaussard. She trained at the Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique et de Danse in Paris (graduating with a 1st Prize of Dance) and at the Paris Opera ballet school. Aged 16 she graduated into The Paris Opera Ballet under the direction of Rudolf Nureyev. In the company, Anne-Laure performed soloist roles, danced all the Classical Repertoire and worked with renowned choreographers such as Jerome Robbins, Jirí Kylián, Roland Petit, William Forsythe and Twyla Tharp amongst many others. With both a French ballet teacher State Diploma and a Munz Floor certificate level 1&2, she is a regular guest teacher in various companies including the Royal Ballet, Paris Opera Ballet, Les grands Ballets Canadiens and Bordeaux Opera Ballet. Based on the French school’s tradition, complemented with a wealth of experiences gathered around the world, her passion is to transmit technical purity and style while nurturing the individuality and artistry of each dancer she works with. She now lives full time in London and has joined ESB as a guest teacher from May 2024.
